Khan Academy is a free on-line school. You can watch videos, (over 3000), in math, science, ect. The site also has practice lessons, all in all it is a very good resource. I have been using Khan Academy to re-introduce myself with pre-algebra, and geometry. The videos are in 10 min or less bites and are very easy to follow and grasp. The first video I watched was "the beauty of algebra", I wish someone had introduced me to algebra in a similar faction when I was in school. If I had kids I would be utilizing this site even more. www.khanacademy.org/

Math was always one of my favorite subjects growing up. That is until I got to algebra and geometry. After the basics, I got lost. I think a lot of the reason was due to how I was being introduced to the lessons. I went through 12 + yrs of school, and nobody ever mentioned sacred geometry, the flower of life, or the fibonacci series. I think the first day in any geometry class the teacher should have the whole class get out their compasses and draw a circle, then draw another circle, and another and so on .... until the seed of life, (genesis) pattern emerges, now that would be a proper introduction to geometry!
What I like best about the khan academy is the introduction and approach to lessons. Along with being able to go at your own pace and in your own direction. I also like the fact that most of the video's show real world applications right off the bat, so you're not thinking, "when will I ever need to know this crap".
